How Did I Live Without My Claremont?

I love reading The B Bar blog The Well, and when I saw they were doing a LinkUp Post Series, I was beyond excited! A linkup is when a bunch of bloggers answer the same question and link to each others posts. So here it is, my response to their question! Be sure to find the the links to the other responses bottom of this post and go see what other folks found invaluable this year!

Q: What did you purchase in the past year that became invaluable to you?
A: MY CLAREMONT BAG FROM LO & SONS

I cannot live without my claremont-4

One of my goals this past year was to figure out how on earth to use my DSLR (more on that here and here) but as I started to take my camera with me everywhere, I struggled to find a good bag in which to transport the bulky yet delicate piece of equipment.

Side note- I have more bags than I know what to do with. My boyfriend laughs (or expresses frustration) about the number of bags strewn around our apartment, but he doesn’t understand. Different bags for different purposes!

Anyways, about six months ago and I was struggling with either walking around with my camera around my neck all the time, carrying an unattractive and very obvious camera bag, or sticking my camera unprotected into another bag. Already a fan of Lo & Sons, (I have the Brookline and also couldn’t live without it) I was perusing their website and saw the Claremont bag (cue sounds of angels singing). I was in serious lust with the bag, but much to my disappointment, it was out of stock (womp womp)! I probably emailed Lo & Sons ~3-4 times asking when it would be back in stock, and put myself on the wait list more than once (like that would help!).

Knowing there was a perfect bag out there that would carry everything and I couldn’t find it was so frustrating! Anyways, needless to say, when I got the email in September it was available, I ordered it immediately (like within 20 mins)!

I will skip the part of the story when I got the bag and ran around the house all giddy, and just tell you that I use this bag all of the time! Honestly, if my camera is going somewhere, so is the Claremont. It goes well with just about anything, holds not only my camera but an extra lens or my big wallet. And I tell you, I get so many compliments on the bag!

I love that the Claremont not only looks good but protects my camera. I don’t know how I managed to bring my camera around without it! People can never tell that it is a camera bag, just think it is a pretty cross body. It has gotten a lot of miles in our short relationship, and held up well through many flights and endless days in NYC! I’m so excited to see what adventures are next for the two of us!

I cannot live without my claremont-1

I spy the Lo and Son’s Brookline too

I cannot live without my claremont-3

and when you need some extra room, it fits perfectly into a teddy tote!

As this is a linkup, below are all of the other bloggers who posted about this same question! I am so excited to read about all of the invaluable items people bought this year and you should show them some love too!

  7. I’m obsessed with Lo & Sons! Their products are just so beautiful. I need to invest in this because I’d love to start taking more photos with my DSLR, rather than just my iPhone. Love this link up!!!

Totally adding this to my wish list! I’m constantly leaving my camera behind because there’s not a great way to carry it!

  14. I have been looking for a ‘purse’ that doubles as a camera bag! I just got a new DSLR post-Christmas and didn’t buy the full kit – rather just the camera body and one lens. This just might be what I need to pick up 🙂

  15. I mean, L&S can do no wrong in my book, so I wholeheartedly approve of your invaluable purchase. I’ve never met an L&S bag that didn’t make my life better!

Thanks for participating in our first link up! 😉

  16. Oh the Claremont bag has been on my wish list for some time now for all the same reasons you mentioned!! Also, weird coincidence but I know that girl in one of your pics, Amanda, I studied abroad with her in college!! Small world!!

  17. omg. I saw those bags a while ago and I thought I had to have one. I hate bringing my camera bag with me everywhere and looking like a tourist! Plus my initials are LS so the logo on the inside is especially fitting 🙂 It’s just a bit expensive for me to make the commitment right now, but someday… this bag will be mine!

  18. I love this little bag, and I love that the angels were singing when you found it. I also love that you ran around the house all giddy when it came. Your images really do show how invaluable it is to you! Wonderful!

I am also in need of a camera bag that doesn’t look like a camera bag. This one fits those requirements perfectly! I wouldn’t have even known it was a camera bag if you didn’t tell me. I’ve been debating between Lo & Sons and ONA. Your review of the Lo & Sons is really helpful!
