There is just about nothing more “4th of July in the Midwest” than spending the 4th up North at a cabin with good friends, enjoying good food, good people and cold beer.
This year, as with last, we were invited up to Tim’s friend’s cabin New Auburn WI, to spend the weekend with his close friends from high school and college. As someone who had a close knit group of friends in high school (a side effect of going to a very small all-girls school), I love seeing Tim with his friends and hearing stories of their mischief from the last ~15 years. Everyone makes a bit more sense in the context of their oldest friends. Luckily, they are all very welcoming of this coasty new comer.
We spent time on the lake, enjoying fireworks, chatting around the fire, stalking the hummingbirds, and eating great food! Below are some snappers from the weekend. So relaxing! Thank you S, S, and D for your hospitality! Had a great time as always!
